Last Friday I met up with a new Korean friend, Baekseung. It was our first time meeting each other and we decided to spend the day at the COEX Aquarium. We had a nice day together looking at all the unusual fish and sea creatures in their different environments. The best way to describe the fish is by showing you the pictures! Enjoy :)
Viime perjantaina tapasin uuden korealaisen kaverini, Baekseungin, ensimmäistä kertaa. Päätimme viettää päivän COEX akvaariossa. Vietimme mukavan päivän erikoisia kaloja ja mereneläviä katsellen. Paras tapa kuvailla näkemäämme on kuvien kautta! Nauttikaa :)

These fish were called "blood parrots". Look at the one on the right facing the camera, it looks like it's smiling! So cute ^^ / Näitä kaloja kutsutaan "veri papukaijoiksi". Katso oikealla olevaa kalaa, joka on kameraan päin. Se näyttää hymyilevän, se on tosi söpö ^^
When these fish moved, the harp would detect the vibration of the water and make sounds, as if the fish were playing the harp just by swimming in the water. / Harppu pystyi havaitsemaan kalojen liikkeet vedessä. Liikkeiden peruusteella harppu päästi ääniä, joten se oli ihan kuin kalat olisivat soittaneet harppua uimalla.

This was a fish spa! We washed our hands, placed them into this pool (through the small holes in the glass) and felt the fish nibble at our hands. The skin on the back of my hand felt smoother and some of my dry skin had been nibbled off. It was a relatively enjoyable experience, but not as strange as the foot fish spa I experienced in Malta last year... / Tämä oli kala kylpylä! Pesimme kätemme, laitoimme ne tähän altaaseen (lasissa olevien pienien reikien kautta) ja tunsimme kalojen näykkivän käsiämme. Kämmenselän iho tuntui sileämmältä hoidon jälkeen ja jotkut kuivat kohdat olivat nakerrettu pois. Se oli suhteellisen nautinnollinen kokemus, mutta ei yhtä outo kuin kala jalkahoito, jonka koin Maltalla viime vuonna...

A beautiful fish with a glow in the dark-effect / Kaunis kala, joka näyttää voivan loistaa pimeässä.
A strange fish, that looked like metal / Metallisen näköinen kala.
