On Wednesday Ten and I visited Seoul Forest. It was a lovely, sunny day with a clear blue sky. It wasn't very cold either, so it was just the perfect weather to spend the day out. We walked around the place, following the directions there. We visited the butterfly garden and insect house. It was nice to see small butterflies fluttering around freely amongst the flowers. We also saw various reptiles and fish at the insect house, rather than just insects.
Keskiviikkona kävimme Tenin kanssa Seoul Forestissa. Oli kaunis, aurinkoinen päivä ja taivas oli kirkas. Silloin ei ollut myöskään liian kylmä, joten sää oli täydellinen ulkoilua varten. Kävelimme ympäriinsä siellä seuraten ohjekylttejä. Kävimme perhospuutarhassa ja ötökkä talossa. Oli kivaa katsella pieniä perhosia liihottelemassa vapaasti kukkien ympärillä. Näimme ötököiden lisäksi myös erilaisia matelijoita ja kaloja ötökkä talossa.
As we walked along outside, we saw a bunny enclosure / Kävellessämme ulkona näimme puputarhan:
We wanted to go and feed the deer, so before entering that part of the forest, we came across this: / Halusimme mennä ruokkimaan kauriita, joten ennen kuin saavuimme sille alueelle, törmäsimme tähän:
"What on Earth is a disinfecting chamber of foot?" you may ask. Well, we did step on it / "Mikä ihme on jalkojen desinfioiva kammio?" saatat kysyä. (Kyltissä lukee huonolla englannilla "Olkaa hyvä ja astukaa jalkojen desinfioivalle kammiolle" (kyllä, kammiolle, ei kammioon)). No, me kyllä astuimme sen päälle:
It was just a green mat on which we had to wipe our shoes before entering the deer area. This was actually a bit pointless, as the deer were in enclosures, so we wouldn't be walking where they walk and live anyway. I was a bit disappointed, as I was hoping the deer would be walking around freely. Seoul Forest wasn't actually that foresty, there was just a lot of open space and trees. The only time I've really been in a forest in Korea was while hiking. It was a very nice place though.
Se oli vain vihreä matto, johon piti pyyhkiä kengät ennen kuin saavuimme kauriiden alueelle. Se oli oikeastaan aika turhaa, sillä kauriit olivat omassa tarhassaan, joten emme olisi kävelleet heidän asuinalueellaan kuitenkaan. Olin hieman pettynyt, sillä odotin kauriiden voivan kulkea vapaasti metsässä. Seoul Forest ei ollut kovinkaan metsämäinen, siellä oli paljon avaraa tilaa ja puita. Vain vaellellessa voin oikeasti sanoa olleeni metsässä täällä Koreassa. Se oli silti tosi hieno paikka.

After feeding the deer, we walked along a bridge that took us to the Han River. While walking, we saw more of the forest, the highway, the city and the river. It was a nice walk and afterwards we sat down by the river to eat some snacks and chill. We had a nice, relaxing day together surrounded by nature ^^
Kauriiden ruokkimisen jälkeen kävelimme siltaa pitkin, joka vei meidät Han-joelle. Kävellessä näimme lisää metsän aluetta, moottoritien, kaupunkia ja joen. Kävely oli mukava ja sen jälkeen istuimme joen vieressä syöden eväitä ja otimme rennosti. Vietimme kivan, rentouttavan päivän yhdessä luonnon helmassa ^^
